A note about protein shakes for kids:

If you’re wondering if it’s OK to give protein shakes to kids, you’ll be happy to know that a protein shake drink is perfectly fine to include in your child’s diet.

They help build bone and muscle structure which is very important for a growing body.  They contribute to a healthy immune system, and they provide a quick and easy form of protein which is needed for the proper growth and functioning of all your child’s major organs and bodily systems.

The protein content will also help your child feel satisfied for a longer time, and we parents who are concerned with possible childhood obesity all appreciate that benefit as well!

So long as you include other healthy parts of a balanced diet and do not overload your child on extraordinarily high levels of protein alone, protein drinks can be wonderful snacks for kids, a healthy breakfast idea when your child won’t eat breakfast, or protein supplement if your child doesn’t get enough protein otherwise or if they need a little extra of protein’s body building or body repair support.

While any protein drink might appeal to your teenager or child, the protein shake recipes below may be especially appealing to them.
